“Each Single Self NO.9hj7g85h” one of the drawings created for Chen Yujun’s first solo exhibition in Korea at Arario Gallery Seoul. Chen drew images he saw everyday onto the paper, like keeping a diary. Seemingly unrelated images stems from his very personal observations, such as a dog he used to raise but now passed away, and a friend posing for photography. These images are placed in the Muslim architectural structure. These disparate images creates exotic yet familiar atmosphere with Chen’s meticulous touch onto the paper in a unique style.
