KIM Soun-Gui is a multi-media artist based in France and Korea. Creating works working in both countries, Kim’s art-making process is inspired by the philosophies and media of the East and West. “Saekdong TV” is made with the multilayered color textile made in Korean traditional fabric, called Saekdong. The fabric resembles the SMPTE color bars on television screens, highlighting KIM’s continuous interest in new media technology.
