传记
对于人与生活中内在矛盾的关注是贯穿李东昱作品世界的主线。在凝聚着超写实性描写和超现实性幻想的袖珍人体上，刻意设定各种不合理情况的相互碰撞。他的作品中时常透着一股阴森，但是现在却蜕变为一种抒情式的惊悚。因穿着用自己肉体制成的铠甲而易于受伤的战士，天真烂漫又赤身裸体地站在面对血迹斑斑杀戮（说不定还是自己造成的）的孩子……生与死、美好与残酷、文明与野蛮、现实与幻想都巧妙地交织在他的作品中，使我们可以体验到一种与外界隔绝的人类所存在的假想世界。
