(...) Artist WON Seoung Won has consistently presented 'constructed photographs' composed of thousands of images she meticulously cuts and assembles using a computer into a single scene. The materials for these constructed photographs are images she photographed herself. The assembly technique relies on Adobe Photoshop, using only four tools: crop, eraser, clone stamp, and color level. Photography critic Shin Hye-young describes Won Seong-won's work as follows: 'It holds a unique ontological status between straight photography and making.'
