The Gwangju Biennale Foundation will host the fifth session of the “GB Artist Tour” with artist LIM Subeom at 4 PM on July 20 at Space DDF in Dong-gu, Gwangju. The GB Artist Tour is a program where artists actively working in the Gwangju and Jeonnam regions engage directly with the public to share their artistic world. Anyone interested can participate in this program through prior registration. This upcoming session will focus on LIM Subeom’s artistic practice, which depicts natural worlds harmoniously formed by mythical beings. LIM imagines the vast universe as an organic network and expresses the self as a part of it through sensuous paintings. His work delves into ambiguous realms beyond human comprehension, exploring mythological entities and imaginary landscapes that emerge at the boundaries of the unknown.
