“One of the reasons I was initially drawn to figures was that they are inherently commodities designed for sale. Unlike other industrial products, I found it fascinating that these synthetic resin models—despite lacking a clear utilitarian purpose—could function in ways similar to artworks. Just as I came to discover various works and fields of art in reverse through figures, I hope that the works featured in this special exhibition, though fragmented and disconnected from a larger context, will serve as a starting point for audiences to explore the broader world of art.”
