LG Uplus is hosting a solo exhibition titled Simplexity by GWON Osang 권오상, featuring an AI powered docent service called Ixi O. GWON Osang 권오상 is internationally recognised for his experimental practice that blurs the boundaries between photography and sculpture. He has collaborated with brands and figures such as Hermès, BMW and G Dragon, and his works are held in major museums in Korea and abroad, including the Victoria and Albert Museum in London and the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Korea. GWON’s signature photo sculpture practice involves dismantling countless two dimensional photographs and reconstructing them into three dimensional sculptural forms. This approach is often compared to the way artificial intelligence learns from large volumes of data to produce the most effective results.
For this exhibition, LG Uplus is introducing a docent service powered by its proprietary AI technology, Ixi O. Based on real recorded conversations with the artist, the service allows visitors to ask questions freely and receive clear responses through AI powered summaries and conversational search, offering a more interactive and engaging way to experience the exhibition.
