(...) From April 23 to June 7, ARARIO GALLERY will concurrently present two solo exhibitions: Silver by KOO Jiyoon and Métissage by Yohan HÀN. KOO Jiyoon has been transforming impressions and sentiments drawn from the urban landscape of Seoul into the language of abstraction. The exhibition title Silver symbolizes the hidden light and passage of time beneath the city’s surface. Yohan HÀN interprets symbols of indigenous beliefs through the lens of digital media. For this exhibition, he presents sculptural objects and media installations inspired by the motif of the “drum,” referencing animal hides as a central material.
