SHIH Yung Chun, Forbidden Love

Across seven distinct settings — a hotel room, corridor, living room, kitchen, bar, performance stage, and street — the exhibition unfolds a series of fictional, mysterious events. This world, composed of worn and timeworn objects, resembles a surreal puppet theatre, moving fluidly across the boundaries between love and desire, purity and corruption. In this exhibition, emotions of desire and betrayal lurking behind love are rendered as unsettling fragments on a puppet stage. The show takes place in Jongno, Seoul, as ARARIO GALLERY presents Taiwanese artist SHIH Yung Chun’s first solo exhibition in Seoul, Forbidden Love, on view across three floors until December 6.
