SHIH Yung Chun, Forbidden Love

Taiwanese artist SHIH Yung Chun (47) presents his first solo exhibition in Korea, Forbidden Love, which transforms collected toys into miniature stages, later reimagined as movie-poster-like paintings and expanded into animated videos. In this exhibition, the artist uses vintage product packaging, dolls, toys, and children’s clay from his personal collection to create the Toy Set series. Each stage is meticulously painted to resemble a cinematic poster, blurring the line between photography and illustration. Some works also feature the main characters from these stages, rendered separately as standalone portraits.
