This exhibition marks the first time Lee Eunsil brings the theme of childbirth, a subject she has long contemplated, fully to the forefront of her work. She likens the major and minor turning points of an individual life to the varying heights of waves. One of the most significant turning points in her own life was her first experience of childbirth. The physical and psychological changes she underwent in passing through that moment were as intense as the traces left by a massive force tearing through the body.
