LEE JINJU: DISCONTINUOUSCONTINUITY

This publication is a collection of a solo exhibition of Buen CALUBAYAN, published for his solo show at ARARIO GALLERY SEOUL from February 26 to April 12, 2025.

Buen Calubayan (b. 1980), based in Manila, works at the intersection of art, labor, and education, questioning established visual systems and emphasizing embodied, sensory learning. The exhibition presents 21 new works across painting, video, and installation. “Amoy Araw,” meaning “smells like sun” in Filipino, evokes the traces of movement and rhythm that shape learning, memory, and collective experience.
