Photographer WON Seoung Won has consistently presented highly sophisticated digital “composite prints,” meticulously assembling countless individual images she photographed herself into single scenes drawn from memory or imagination using computer editing.
This year’s selection stands out from previous DongGang Photography Award recipients, and is seen as a meaningful contribution—however modest—to the contemporaneity and future-oriented direction of Korean photography.
