The 23rd DongGang International Photo Festival, Korea’s leading photography art festival, is taking place from July 11 to September 28 throughout Yeongwol, Gangwon Province. Organized by the DongGang Photography Village Committee and the Yeongwol Culture & Tourism Foundation, and supported by the Yeongwol County Office, this year’s edition holds special significance as it marks the 20th anniversary of the DongGang Museum of Photography, Korea’s first public museum dedicated exclusively to photography. Her solo exhibition, as part of the award program, showcases a wide selection of works ranging from her early pieces to recent projects, revealing a distinctive world that merges photographic indexicality with fictional narratives.
