PARK Youngsook, Look, That Woman Sings and Dances

Park Hyunju, Newsis, 25 February 2026

The first solo exhibition of photographer PARK Youngsook (1941–2025) since her passing is on view at Arario Gallery Seoul. Taking on a retrospective character, the exhibition, titled Look, That Woman Sings and Dances, presents 41 photographs alongside video and archival materials, revisiting the work of an artist who left a lasting mark on Korean contemporary photography and feminist art.

Meanwhile, on the fourth floor of Arario Gallery Seoul, a solo exhibition by LEE Jeongbae (b. 1974), titled Living, is presented concurrently. Approaching landscape painting from his own perspective, LEE Jeongbae captures fragments of nature discovered within the urban environment. Using industrial materials such as resin and aluminum, he renders fleeting glimpses of light, sky, and mountain forms seen between buildings, transforming the landscape into geometrically segmented planes.
