The exhibition offers a retrospective reflection on the subjectivity of the “woman” captured in her photographs. It revisits the artist’s lifelong practice of challenging patriarchal conventions and unjust power structures through images that place women at the forefront. PARK Youngsook’s work elevates women, long objectified within the history of photography, into authors of their own narratives and subjects of their own voice.
