ARARIO MUSEUM: 300 Years of Korean Painting Through Folding Screens

ARARIO MUSEUM in SPACE, located in Seoul’s Bukchon neighborhood, occupies the former headquarters of Space Group, designed by the late architect Kim Swoo-geun and transformed into a contemporary art museum in 2014. The museum now presents a special exhibition devoted to folding screens, spanning the history of Korean painting from the literati paintings of the late Joseon period to the decorative color paintings of the modern era.

Running from July 30 (Thu) to November 22 (Sun), 《ARARIO Collection: Folding Screens》 brings together five folding screens from the ARARIO Collection, offering a concise overview of the 300-year development of Korean painting.
