Upon entering the exhibition, visitors are first greeted by Juk by the Joseon era master Yu Deok-jang, followed by Kim Hui-sun’s Ten Panel Folding Screen of Flowers and Birds and Kim Eun-ho’s Noando. The exhibition continues with Park Saeng-gwang’s Ten Panel Folding Screen of Flowers and Birds and Animals and Park No-soo’s Unryongdo, offering an overview of the distinctive brushwork of leading painters from different periods.
From the upright spirit of the scholar and wishes for happiness in life to hopes for peace in old age and the majesty of the dragon, the diverse meanings conveyed by these artists come vividly to life through subtle shades of ink and vibrant colors.
