KANG CHEOLGYU: DISCARDED HOST

This publication is a collection of a solo exhibition of KANG Cheolgyu, published for his solo show Discarded Host at ARARIO GALLERY SEOUL from May 1 to June 20, 2026.

KANG Cheolgyu (b. 1990) has continuously explored the concepts of self and existence, and his recent works approach the self not as a fixed center but as a plural structure in which sensation and perception, impulse and memory operate simultaneously. Discarded Host examines how this shift in perception expands into a new painterly structure, presenting 27 new paintings produced between 2025 and 2026.
