BYUN Soonchoel's portraits from "Eternal Family" series are shown in Busan International Photo Festival. "Eternal Family" is a series of portraits of people who fled North Korea to come to the South. BYUN made a virtual renunion of displaced people reunites them through photography and modern technology. The photo works that show virtual reunion of separated familes questions the long-standing discourse on memory and recording. From the early works to the present BYUN has continuously revealed the fundamental power of life based on curiosity and affection for humans through his 'portrait photography'.
