[News] The inside of a prominent side: Artist Talk with LEE Jeongbae

The artist LEE Jeongbae, who was born in 1974, majored in oriental painting at university and continues presenting and expanding his artworks as paintings, sculptures, installations, photography, video, and projects through numerous exhibitions starting from the exhibition at Moonwha Ilbo Gallery in 2005. He is currently holding an exhibition with a performative titled called <Rub, Jam and Glimmer> (23. 9. 21 - 24. 2. 11) at Arario Museum in Space in Seoul. LEE Jeongbae and the art critic, Kang Soo Mi sat face to face in the middle of the scene where the artist's recent works changed the exhibition space into a special color, shape, light, and texture. Since it is the major for LEE, "Oriental Painting" is like the root of his aesthetic sense but LEE consistently reflected it critically while exploring his art and that was the first topic of their conversation. Furthermore, they also discussed how things such as arithmetic and daylight inside the space, which we were not aware of in our daily lives to see the city as a center of a bold side such as a building or a road, exert their existence value in LEE Jeongbae's works. Now, some part of their talk moved here with reconstruction.
