The Hoban Cultural Foundation has finalized the selection of six residents for the fourth cohort of H Art Lab, comprising five artists and one theorist, through a review of written applications and interviews. The selected artists are Kim Sejung, Na Gwangho, LIM Subeom, Heo On, and Heo Jihye, while Shin Hyojin was selected as the cohort’s theorist. From January through November, the residents will spend approximately ten months in residence at H Art Lab Gwangju, located in Gwangju Metropolitan City, continuing their creative and research activities.
The fourth cohort has developed individual artistic practices centered on themes such as nature and memory, the persistence of time, place and sensation, interests and emotions beyond the real world, and consciousness. Working across a range of media including painting, installation, photography, and video, they are actively engaged in addressing contemporary questions within the contemporary art scene.
