LG Uplus announced on the 29th that it will host contemporary artist Gwon Osang’s solo exhibition, “Gwon Osang’s Simplexity: AI, Humans, and Art.” The exhibition runs through March 31 at “The Gap by Uplus,” a multipurpose cultural space in Gangnam, Seoul.
Gwon is known for his “photo sculpture” practice, in which he deconstructs and recombines countless two dimensional photographs to create fully three dimensional sculptural works. LG Uplus explained that this process resonates with how AI learns from massive datasets to derive optimal results.
