The exhibition centers on GWON Osang’s signature practice of photo-sculpture. By fragmenting photographic images taken from multiple angles and reassembling them into three dimensional sculptural forms, he constructs works that appear simple at first glance yet reveal complex layers of imagery upon closer inspection.
This method resonates with the structural logic of artificial intelligence, which processes and learns from vast amounts of data. As the exhibition title Simplexity suggests, the coexistence of simplicity and complexity within his sculptural language forms the conceptual core of the show.
