The solo exhibition at the Cheongju Museum of Art is particularly significant as it marks CI KIM’s first exhibition at a national or public museum. Although CI KIM has pursued his practice as an artist for more than 30 years, his work has often been overshadowed by his profile as a businessman and collector, and has not received the recognition it deserves. However, with exhibitions continuing both in Korea and abroad, he is increasingly being reevaluated and recognized for his work as an artist. He has also maintained a firm principle of never selling his artworks, emphasizing his pride and commitment as an artist.
