植松奎二
人们于无意识间就能感知重力。周遭的事物时不时地会使无形的重力显现。植松奎二(b.1947,日本)关注诸如重力和万有引力等基本原始的宇宙的力量,探索被自然、地球及宇宙所包围的人类存在。透过作品,植松奎二创造出一个小型的外层空间。看不见的力普遍存在于物质构造和人类存在中,这之间的关系和张力通过摄影,影像和雕塑等视觉语言加已呈现。
值得一提的是,植松奎二上世纪70年代的摄影作品以艺术家的观察行为为基础,以肢体表演开始有形的空间体验。在作品"Stone/Rope/Man"系列中,表演者以身体为轴心,用石头画圆;在作品"HorizontalPosition"、"VerticalPosition"以及"RightAnglePosition"中,艺术家以己为尺,站在门口,以此来形象化地展览诸如重力、离心力以及人的力量等无形之力。
植松奎二1947年出生于日本神户,1975年移居德国杜塞尔多夫,目前在德国和日本生活、工作。他的创作始于他对于人、物关系,物、境关系以及这三者之间相互联系、各自角色的兴趣。在过去的40年里,他对看不见的力量和宇宙的兴趣从物理学和天文学角度逐渐深化。从70年代的摄影到近期的装置作品,植松奎二参加过诸多国际展览,个展包括斯德哥尔摩现代美术馆(1976);纽约现代艺术博物馆P.S.1(1980),在威尼斯双年展日本馆(1988)展出后,获得了国际认可。他在欧洲、亚洲及美国的重要城市都进行过展览,其作品被英国伦敦泰特美术馆、美国纽约当代艺术美术馆(MoMA)、法国卡地亚当代艺术基金会等诸多重要机构收藏。2019年,其他作品在韩国果川国立现当代美术馆展出。
