This publication is a collection of a solo exhibition of LEE Jihyun, published for her solo show Fantasma: Restless Silence at ARARIO GALLERY SEOUL from July 1 to August 15, 2026.
LEE Jihyun (b.1979) reconstructs images of remembered places through the language of painting. She describes the act of painting as “a record of memory, a form of resistance against forgetting, and an attempt to create yet another memory that continues to emerge beyond time.” Marking the artist’s first solo exhibition in Korea in four years, this exhibition highlights her distinctive painterly practice, shaped through the layering and reinterpretation of scenes drawn from history and everyday life.
