[News] [Exhibition of this week] Aono Fumiaki's solo exhibition, Kim Sun-hee's solo exhibition "Actually, Actualness of Actuality" and more

Japanese installation artist Aono Fumiaki (56) is an artist who collects fragments of discarded objects that have been used or broken, connects them in a unique way, and reminds them of memories to testify about people's lives. His solo exhibition, Unknown Memories Open, will hold at Um Museum. The artist will reveal 22 objects and 23 paintings under the theme of "Restoration," including his representative works "Ship (2012), "Truck (2013)," and "Restoration of a Red Signboard Collected in Ishinomaki (2013)," and more than 10 new works he worked on for this exhibition. In addition to the installation works, flat objects where traces of time and restoration such as light barams, corrosion, and stains coexist, photo work using collages, and drawings will also be released. His work on restoring broken objects contained a message of hope for recovery and rebirth toward the future, not just restoring the past.
