A Collector Turned Artist, Driven by Creative Instinct

A wall is filled with 114 drawings, forming a visual diary of the artist’s dreams and imagination drawn from everyday life. Inspired by German fairy tales, the works use charcoal, conte, and pastel, balancing a quiet tone with a touch of wit. Another piece captures the world reflected through a car window on a rainy day. All of these works, across different genres, are by a single artist, CI KIM. He is often noted for turning his lack of formal art training into a strength, allowing him to move freely between genres. At the core of his practice is a strong commitment to creative instinct.
